From a very young age Lindsay Marie Iris expressed creative talents. She was born and raised in the suburbs of the small Central Valley town of Visalia, Ca. The untimely death of her mother on New Years morning 1998 would lead to childhood depression where she learned art as a coping mechanism. She later went on to study fine arts at San Jose State University and in Black Rock City, NV where her own style developed. Her work is known for it's grieving dark melancholy landscaped in skeletal girls addressing themes of feminism, mental illness, death, with flares of her Mexican ethnicity, and primarily works in ink drawing but also acrylic painting. She currently resides in Oakland, Ca.
